Summer at The Hollywood Bowl

6.18.15

We are working with The Hollywood Bowl to make sure our readers know of all the excellent programming available this summer. The first notable family event takes place on Friday, June 26 at 6:30 PM and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the beloved film, The Sound of Music. But great programming follows almost every week after, from a Back to the Future extravaganza in late June to Abba in mid-September. Fireworks are part of several Bowl programs, as well. Take a look at all the family-oriented shows below, but there is a plethora of other programming to cover all your summer entertaining needs. Click here for the full schedule.

The sing-a-long is a Bowl tradition, and we know you know the words! So come on out and enjoy a summer night with one of your favorite films.

If you've never been to the Bowl before, you'll discover that picnicking before the show is half the fun. Pack your own meal, or pick up a feast in your neighborhood – many restaurants offer Bowl meals to go. If you don't get organized in time, there are multiple food vendors on site – here is a list.  Patrons in the Terrace and Garden boxes enjoy the night air at a table that ushers set up in their box for the hour before the show – and most of these savvy music lovers bring table cloths and real crystal for their pre-show meal (and all-important bottle of wine).
