Where are the Best Views of LA?

10.19.15

Did you know that some of the best views of LA are to be had from an Observation Deck at the top of the Los Angeles City Hall? If you’re down town (jury duty, visiting the museums, or going to the flower mart!?), consider a quick side trip to a well-kept secret treasure.

city hall

It’s a little tricky to access the 27th floor, but have faith. Here’s the secret formula: enter the building on the EAST side, take an elevator to the 22nd floor, and a second elevator to the 26th floor, and then walk up to The Mayor Tom Bradley Room. With beautiful tiled ceilings, this stately spot is used for all sorts of conferences and events and evokes the days of yore. Go ahead and admire the architecture,  then walk outside to the observation deck which encircles the top floor, offering a 360 degree tour of our magnificent city.

And, it’s FREE!

We loved getting a look at the Broadway through Chinatown, and seeing Chavez Ravine and Dodger Stadium from a distance.

Union Station is one of LA’s most elegant venues and you can see it’s whole glory from the 27th floor.
