The LA Phil presents Salonen & Sibelius in concert from Thursday, April 6 through Saturday, April 8. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Finnish independence, Conductor Laureate Esa-Pekka Salonen – the greatest living conductor/composer from Finland – will lead Sibelius’ final two symphonies, less frequently heard masterpieces that demonstrate where his musical thinking was headed.
