Grand Park’s SPRINGTIME READS culminates with everyone’s favorite celebration of independent Los Angeles-based authors and publishers. This year, the annual Grand Park’s Downtown Bookfest will explore, “Literary LA: Places, Spaces and Faces,” a celebration and reflection of where Angelenos love to read and write – past, present and future.
All taking place in Grand Park, this year’s Bookfest will feature storytelling, bookmaking, book-swapping, book-shopping (at a pop-up bookstore featuring more than 30 L.A.-based independent publishers), readings by authors of different backgrounds and languages, a family pavilion of performances and activities for all ages, and panels turned inside out.
Finally, what’s pink, stands on one leg, and isn’t a flamingo? Grand Park’s Little Libraries, where all are encouraged to drop off a good book and/or pick one up to take home.
