The Fowler Museum is hosting an interactive storytelling experience to look, listen, and learn in their exhibition Axé Bahia: The Power of Art in an Afro-Brazilian Metropolis on April 6. It’s Story Time in Axé Bahia: How Night Came From The Sea: A Story From Brazil. Families and children of all ages are invited to discover how an ancient African sea goddess brings the gift of night to the land of daylight in How Night Came from the Sea: A Story from Brazil (1994). After the reading, a Museum Educator will lead families on a brief exploration of artworks related to the story.
