Enjoy the spontaneous and comical rock, country, and folk of Dave Aaronoff and the Protagonists, the closing act of this season’s Family Amphitheater Performances.
A former member of the Shods, the Pills, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Dave Aaronoff began his solo career in Boston in 2006 with the release of the album Into the Drink. He then partnered with the Protagonists, some of Boston’s most talented musicians, to flesh out his new sound. Featuring guitar, upright bass, drums, pedal steel, violin, and vocals, Dave Aaronoff and the Protagonists have since released two albums that showcase the best of American music traditions.
