Elmer the elephant is covered in bright-colored patchwork. No wonder the other elephants laugh at him! Children of all ages are invited to discover David McKee’s comical fable about a colorful elephant’s struggle to be himself in Elmer the Patchwork Elephant (1989). After the reading, participants will learn where elephants live in Africa before painting their own colorful Elmer during a guided art-making workshop.
