For the Littles: Noah’s Ark Virutally

1.27.21

One of LA’s favorite destinations for children has always been The Skirball’s Noah’s Ark exhibit. With puppets created from recycled material and a journey that starts with a storm, allows children to cavort in the ark’s shelter and emerge into a rainbow colored future, the environs are a signature part of an LA childhood. And because the museum has a mission rooted in the values of a democratic society, storytelling is part of every exhibit. With Noah’s Ark, the lesson the story of the flood offers is one of resilience and rebirth – a metaphor that can be extended to our experience of the quarantine.

Now, the Ark is available for online boarding, through six YouTube videos available here. Lesson plans and additional resources are available for free, here.
